This automatic handheld battery charger is completely automatic and offers 50-, 10-, and 2-amp charging modes. The LED indicators make it easy to check charging status at a glance. Its 50-amp mode helps engines with emergency starting, while the 10-amp fast-charging mode can recharge a battery in 3 to 5 hours. The 2-amp trickle charge mode charges a small 12-volt battery in 2 to 12 hours.

Great product; the previous one I had lasted 20 yrs ... The automatic shut off featue is a must; this way you can leave it on overnight without worrying about overcharging. It doesn't seem there is much difference in price for the models with automatic and those without. I have a number of toys (boat, ATV, snowmobile) that may sit idle for weeks; the 50 amp starting feature if perfect to get things started when its cold and the battery is low.
