I purchased this necklace as a surprise gift for my fiance. It's shorter than I thought it would be but it's not choker length either. At first glance, the pearls are of a decent size, all are pretty uniform in size and they have a nice luster/sheen to them. Of course, looking very closely you can begin to identify the flaws but for the price, I thought this was a great purchase. Needless to say, so did my fiance, she absolutely loved the necklace! I couldn't give this particular item a 5-star rating because they are not perfect but it certainly deserves it's 4-star rating!
Like many who buy jewelry, I am not an expert. I bought this for my mom for Christmas and wasn't sure what to expect. The pearls came in a little plastic bag within a round pink box topped with tiny little seed pearls. It's a pretty presentation.
I took the pearls out to make sure I wasn't giving something very obviously shoddy. I mean if there were gouges in the pearls or the pearls were very oddly shaped or the sizes were very different or something of the sort, my untrained eye can see that much.
It's a short strand, not choker length, but it's clearly short. The pearls are not huge, but they do not look too small. They look evenly sized, very well matched up in that respect.
The pearls did not have many markings, which I thought were light, and I did have to look for them. The shape was round. Some were just very slightly off, but I really had to look. Just from a glance, I don't think anyone is going to notice at all that they are not perfect.
The color is not quite as brilliantly white as in the photo online. I think it is more cream-rose as they say. What struck me is the soft glow from the reflection of the light in my room. That was very pretty. I think my mom will like these.
When I received it I was pretty surprised with the size of this necklace. It's just what my wife likes not too small to be cheap looking and not to big to be vulgar. It looks expensive, I would say noble. My wife just loves it!
